What?
Within the Controlling department, the Senior Controlling Analyst will be responsible for the coordination of all the reporting (internal and to HQ) related to monthly closing, forecast, Budgets and strategic mid-term plans, ensuring accuracy, on-time delivery and proper analysis. In coordination with other team members, he/she will lead improvements and simplification of the reporting processes, increasing automation. He/she will be the interlocutor with HQ and will coordinate the ad-hoc requirements.
Who are your responsibilities?
- Support Management in critical areas such as Monthly Closing, Planning, Profitability analysis and reporting to HQ;
- Provide timely and accurate delivery of month end reporting (internal and corporate);
- Working close to the Local Controlling team, Accounting team and HQ, ensure solid month-end closing processes, guaranteeing early communication of events that may affect in a significant way the financial statements of the unit;
- On a monthly basis, perform accurate, timely and complete delivery of reports required by the Management and reports to HQ, ensuring quality and qualitative analysis;
- Continuous improvement of Internal and Corporate Reporting, driving additional automation in monthly reporting cycle;
- Coordinate the production with junior team members of the Analytical Accounting and other profitability reports, providing proper analysis to explain variances and trends;
- Ensure compliance and implementation of Corporate policies, processes and tools;
- Lead Budgeting processes, communicating with other departments and ensuring timely, accurate and complete drafting of budgets, budget analysis, rolling forecasts and reporting to Management and HQ;
- Participate in business cases elaboration and profitability calculation of operations and projects;
- Provide line management support;
- Participate in Company projects related to information systems and perform follow-up of the development of projects within the Company;
- Coordination with HQ.
What is your skillset?
- University level;
- Fluent in English (oral and written), Dutch is an asset;
- More than 7 years in similar role (closing analysis, reporting, budget modelling);
- Advanced skills in Power point and Word;
- Significant working experience with Excel, modelling profit and loss projections, portfolio evolution;
- Experience with other reporting tools (Tableau, Cognos, etc) and programming knowledge (SQL, SAS, Python) will be an asset;
- Good communicator;
- Can do and hands-on attitude;
- Analytical and accurate;
- Independent, flexible.
